Trentino is a wonderful place during every season owing to its breathtaking natural landscape, but also due to its ancient traditions. Winter is an especially evocative time. Each year Trento breathes the magic of Christmas with its small holiday markets that attract tourists and visitors from all around Italy and beyond.
Within the ancient city walls, old wooden houses are set up where one can buy Christmas tree ornaments and Nativity decorations that can’t be found elsewhere, along with artisan products, sweets, and exquisite local specialties. Strudel, “treccia mochèna”, “polenta brustolada” and “vin brulè” enhance the festive ambiance where costumed dancers, alpine songs, and Christmas choirs fill the air.
