Do Ubuntu and Ubuntu Server have different.conf files?

I’m wondering if there is a difference in the configuration file names between Ubuntu and Ubuntu Server?

A:

Generally speaking, Ubuntu is a desktop version of the Linux kernel, and the server version is Ubuntu Server, which doesn’t have a graphical environment (it is similar to Fedora Server).
In the Ubuntu case, there is a file in /etc/ which is called file-{basename of distribution}.conf. This is the name of the configuration file used by the various configuration tools. For example, in my computer, I have files such as ssh_config, apache2.conf, dnsmasq.conf, php.ini, etc.
In the case of Ubuntu Server, there is a file in /etc/init.d which is called file-{basename of distribution}.conf. The Ubuntu Server version of these tools and configuration files should be almost the same, but maybe with some small differences, for instance, the init script configuration files may include a prefix “service” and they may be named in a format such as file-{basename of distribution}-service.conf.
There are a lot of configuration tools (e.g. Apache, OpenSSH, Postfix,…) for Ubuntu and Ubuntu Server, but they usually do the same thing, but there are some tools that are specific to Ubuntu, for instance, OpenSSH has the option for sshd_config file to enable/disable the IPv6 protocol. Another example is Ubuntu’s network configuration tool is the nm-applet.

Capecitabine plus bevacizumab as first-line chemotherapy in metastatic colorectal cancer: a single-institution, phase II trial.
The efficacy and tolerability of capecitabine plus bevacizumab (Cape + Bev) as first-line chemotherapy in metastatic colorectal cancer (MCRC) patients has not been adequately investigated. Patients with MCRC and good performance status were treated with Cape + Bev. Bev was administered at 15 mg/kg in 3-week cycles; capecitabine, 850 mg/m(2) orally twice daily from day 1 to 14
